Chamber of Skilled Crafts - english pages

The Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Stade Chamber of Skilled Crafts is a non-profit-making corporation under public law and your competent partner for any matters concerning skilled crafts. As a self-governing organisation the chamber represents the interests of the skilled craft sector vis-á-vis political institutions and public administration. On the local level the chamber is cooperating with the Local Council of Skilled Crafts and the Craft Guilds.
 
Our services 
The Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Stade Chamber of Skilled Crafts provides a wide range of services: 

• support of the skilled crafts
• mediation in case of legal affairs 
• advice on technical, financial or legal matters
• high-quality intercompany vocational education and continued education including preparatory courses for the master craftsman examination
• programs and projects of international mobility for the qualification of apprentices and craftsmen/-women
• final examinations in initial and further vocational training courses
• keeping the craft and apprentice register
• implement marketing acitivities to generate new apprenticeship contracts
• cooperation with vocational schools and the local labour office
• organisation of competitions in performance for young professionals on skilled crafts

 
The chamber district
Membership is compulsory for every skilled craft business in the chamber district. More than 28.000 small and medium-sized companies are listed in the craft register. With sixteen counties and about 20.000 sqrkm the chamber district is the largest in Northern Germany surrounded by large capitals like Hamburg, Bremen and Hanover.
